For our client we are looking for driven E&I, mechanical & electrical Engineers.


Our client is a global player in materials technology who develop technologies and produce materials for high-performance solar cells used in satellites, rechargeable batteries, LED applications and catalysts. Through recycling, they recover valuable metals from devices such as laptops and mobile phones.


Opportunity 1: E&I Designer


What you will do:


  • Translate customer needs into technical designs for E&I and automation hardware within industrial projects, from concept to execution phase.
  • Ensure that electrical schematics are delivered by the electrical draftsmen.
  • Create and validate calculations (cable sizing, ATEX Exi, heat calculations, SIL, etc.).
  • Provide advice regarding risk analyses and integrate mitigation measures into the design.
  • Prepare specifications and technical documents for tenders and verify the correctness of submitted offers.
  • Prepare budgets and contribute to planning activities for your discipline.
  • Share responsibility for selecting contractors and assigning tasks.
  • Participate in procurement activities.
  • Maintain contact with internal customers and external partners/contractors.
  • Monitor the quality of delivered work and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Archive project documentation and ensure the creation of an as-built technical construction dossier.
  • Provide technical support during project execution and start-up.


Required skills & competencies:


  • You hold a Master's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Electrical Engineering, Automation, Electromechanics, etc.).
  • You have 5+ years of relevant experience in industrial project design focused on E&I.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of electricity and instrumentation, including:
  • European and Belgian standards and guidelines (ATEX, LV, EMC, MRL, AREI, etc.).
  • Validation of SIL / PL / Exi calculations.
  • You have a basic knowledge of chemistry and mechanics.
  • You are proficient in using office software packages.
  • You fluently speak & write in Dutch and English, with a basic knowledge of German and French.
  • You are skilled in analyzing, reporting, organizing, and solving technical issues.
  • You are a team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.


Opportunity 2: Mechanical Engineer


What you will do:


As a Mechanical Engineer, you are responsible for the mechanical and piping discipline within the project team. This includes:

  • Designing installations by processing all stakeholder input, developing from concept to detailed design. You may also manage external engineering firms for certain projects.
  • Conducting technical discussions with suppliers, drafting technical specifications, handling tenders, placing orders, and following up on deliveries.
  • Preparing cost estimates and planning in consultation with the project manager, and monitoring these throughout the execution.
  • Coordinating construction and general site activities, maintaining and resolving the punch list until full project completion.
  • Assisting during the commissioning and start-up of the installation.
  • Ensuring that the project scope, budget, and timeline are respected.


Required skills & competencies:


We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven colleague who:

  • Wants to see their designs realized in practice.
  • Holds at least a Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in Electromechanics or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Has knowledge of machinery from either a maintenance or design perspective, and a basic understanding of pumps, piping, and thermodynamics.
  • Has a few years of relevant professional experience.
  • Is proficient with 2D or 3D CAD software to design smaller installations independently.
  • Can work autonomously and set priorities effectively.
  • Is assertive, communicative, and result-oriented.
  • You fluently speak & write in Dutch and English.


Opportunity 3: Electrical Engineer


What you will do:


As an Electrical Engineer, you are responsible for the E&I discipline within the project team. This includes:

  • Designing and realizing installations; incorporating all stakeholder input at the concept stage and, for larger projects, coordinating external engineering firms for detailed design.
  • Conducting technical discussions with suppliers, preparing technical specifications, managing tenders, placing orders, and following up on deliveries.
  • Preparing cost estimates and planning in consultation with your project manager.
  • Following up on the execution of works and providing support during the commissioning and start-up phase.
  • Ensuring that project scope, budget, and timing are respected throughout.


Required skills & competencies:


We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven colleague who:

  • Holds at least a Bachelor's degree with a specialization in Electrical Engineering or Electromechanics.
  • Has knowledge of electricity, electrical networks, instrumentation, PLC control systems, power electronics, and industrial communication networks.
  • Can perform cable calculations (knowledge of Caneco is a plus).
  • Has experience with electrical CAD software (is an advantage).
  • Is proficient with MS Office.
  • Can work independently and set priorities effectively.
  • Is assertive, communicative, and results-oriented.
  • You fluently speak & write in Dutch and English.
